The Heritage Flight Museum in Orcas Island, Washington exists to keep vintage aircraft flying and in the public eye. Maj. Gen. Anders is the founder, President, and chief pilot of the museum. After serving our country in the USAF, the federal government, and NASA as an Apollo astronaut, Anders worked extensively for the private sector. With over 8000 hours of flying time, he now is the pilot for the museum's heritage flights. With a F-16, F-15 and A-10 he flies the museum's P-51D Mustang "Val-Halla". For the Navy Legacy demonstrations, he flies a F8F-2 Bearcat alongside a F-18 fighter/attack aircraft.
